Buyers should evaluate the exact system, workload, density, facility, software, service, and commercial requirements rather than applying platform-level claims to every deployment.

Neptune is a set of systems, not a property of the range
Lenovo publishes specific servers as Neptune systems, such as the ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune Server. Neptune is not a characteristic that every ThinkSystem inherits, so whether a given model is available in a liquid-cooled configuration is a per-model question with a per-model answer.
This matters more than it sounds. The efficiency and density figures that circulate for liquid cooling belong to particular systems at particular water temperatures in particular facilities. Applying them to a different model, or to a site with different water conditions, produces a plan built on numbers that were never about that deployment.
Is this model available as Neptune
Ask for the Lenovo product guide for the exact model and configuration, not a family-level statement.
Can the facility supply the water loop
Supply temperature, flow rate, water quality, CDU placement, redundancy, and leak detection are facility commitments with their own lead times. See cooling infrastructure.
Who maintains the loop
Liquid cooling changes the operating model. Maintenance responsibility, spares, and escalation paths should be settled before commissioning, not after.
SLYD publishes no energy savings percentage, PUE figure, rack density, water temperature, or vendor ranking for Neptune or for any cooling technology. Where those figures matter to a decision, request them from Lenovo for the exact configuration and site, with the measurement basis stated.
Lenovo services and SLYD process are separate things
Manufacturer services and consumption models
Lenovo publishes its own support, service, management, and consumption offerings. Scope, term, regional eligibility, and commercial structure are defined by Lenovo agreements and should be evaluated with Lenovo directly.
Sourcing process
SLYD evaluates a stated requirement, identifies which documented sourcing paths are available for the requested system, and confirms configuration, seller authority, provenance, condition, availability, and commercial terms for the specific transaction.
SLYD is an authorized reseller for Dell Technologies, HPE, Supermicro, Lenovo, Cisco and IBM, and sources through authorized distribution including Arrow, Ingram Micro and TD SYNNEX. Configuration availability and lead times are quoted at time of order. SLYD does not sell or resell Lenovo consumption offerings, and publishes no service level commitment for this manufacturer.

Which Lenovo systems appear in its current AI server documentation?
Lenovo publishes ThinkSystem SR650a V4 and SR650i V4, SR675 V3 and SR675i V3, SR680a V3, SR680a V4, SR780a V3, SR685a V3, and the SC777 V4 Neptune Server, along with a Lenovo NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 rack-scale AI system. Accelerator options are not published uniformly for every model, so the specification for the exact model should be requested.
Which Lenovo systems support which accelerators?
Lenovo publishes ThinkSystem SR680a V3 with B200, describes ThinkSystem SR675 V3 servers powered by NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core and NVIDIA L40S GPUs, and describes ThinkSystem SR685a V3 powered by AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators. For the remaining models the accelerator configuration should be confirmed against the current Lenovo product guide rather than assumed from the model number.
What is Lenovo Neptune?
Neptune is Lenovo's liquid cooling technology line. Lenovo publishes specific servers as Neptune systems, such as the ThinkSystem SC777 V4 Neptune Server, rather than applying Neptune as a property of the whole ThinkSystem range. Whether a given model is available in a Neptune configuration is a per-model question.
What energy savings does Neptune cooling deliver?
SLYD does not publish an energy savings figure for Neptune or for any cooling technology. Savings depend on the specific system, rack density, facility water temperatures, climate, heat rejection design, and the baseline being compared against. A percentage without all of those stated is not a usable planning input. Request the figures for the exact configuration and site.
How do air-cooled and Neptune configurations differ in what the site must provide?
A liquid-cooled configuration adds a facility water requirement that an air-cooled one does not have: supply temperature, flow rate, water quality, CDU placement and redundancy, leak detection, and a maintenance model for the loop. Those are facility commitments with their own lead times, and they should be confirmed before the system is selected.
Can SLYD provide Lenovo TruScale or Lenovo services?
No. Lenovo consumption models and service offerings are governed by Lenovo agreements, and no current record establishes a SLYD role in selling or delivering them. SLYD does not resell, extend, or guarantee any Lenovo service, and publishes no service level commitment of its own for this manufacturer.
Does a Lenovo model named here mean SLYD has it in stock?
