Rack space for infrastructure that runs hot.
AI hardware does not fit the average colocation footprint. SLYD Solutions, SLYD's data center services group, places high-density deployments into facilities that can genuinely take them, with the right power envelope, the right cooling method and the right carrier mix. We handle the search, the diligence and the contracting through a single relationship.
What SLYD Solutions does on a colocation deal
Most colocation searches fail on density. A facility built for 8 kW per rack cannot take a liquid-cooled deployment, and a broker who does not understand the difference will spend a quarter of your time before anyone discovers the problem. SLYD Solutions approaches colocation from the hardware side. We know what a given deployment draws, what it rejects as heat and what it needs to talk to, because we source and deploy the same equipment.
We maintain relationships with data center operators across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, spanning retail colocation, wholesale suites, build-to-suit and powered shell. Those relationships run through our direct agreements and through our technology services distributor channel, which extends reach into operators we do not contract with directly. In practice that means we can run one requirement across a wide operator set at once instead of working through them sequentially.
We do not publish our facility list and we do not name operators. Requirements, deployment plans and pricing are commercially sensitive on both sides. Tell us what you need and we will come back with options.
What kind of colocation can SLYD Solutions source?
| Type | Typical fit | What we handle |
|---|---|---|
| Retail colocation | Single racks to a few cabinets. Pilots, inference nodes, edge presence. | Facility shortlist, density verification, cross-connect and remote-hands terms. |
| Wholesale or private suite | Hundreds of kW to multiple MW. Dedicated cage or suite with committed capacity. | Capacity search, power and cooling diligence, SLA and commercial negotiation. |
| High-density and liquid-cooled | Rear-door heat exchange, direct-to-chip, immersion. Anything above conventional air limits. | Facility qualification against the actual thermal profile of your hardware. |
| Build-to-suit or powered shell | Multi-MW, longer horizon, purpose-built for a known workload. | Site identification, developer introduction, coordination with financing and hardware. |
How does the process work?
Requirements
Power envelope in kW or MW, rack count and density, cooling method, target regions, connectivity needs, latency constraints, compliance requirements and the date you need to be live.
Search
We run the requirement across our operator relationships, direct and distributor-channel, and return a shortlist with real pricing, real availability and real timelines rather than a list of logos.
Diligence
Density verification against your actual hardware, power redundancy topology, cooling capacity at your load, carrier and cross-connect options, security and compliance posture, and the commercial terms sitting behind the headline rate.
Contract and deploy
We support negotiation through signature. Where SLYD is also supplying the hardware or arranging financing, the colocation timeline is sequenced against equipment lead times and funding so the space is ready when the hardware lands, and not paid for months beforehand.
What should you evaluate in a colocation facility for AI workloads?
Density ceiling, not average density
Facilities quote an average kW per rack. What matters is the maximum sustained draw at your cabinet, and whether the facility can deliver it across contiguous racks rather than scattered across the floor.
Cooling method and its actual limits
Conventional air handles roughly 10 to 15 kW per rack comfortably. Rear-door heat exchangers extend that meaningfully. Direct-to-chip liquid is what current flagship accelerators increasingly assume. Confirm what a facility supports today rather than what appears on its roadmap. See cooling infrastructure.
Power topology and redundancy
N, N+1 or 2N, and what the SLA actually pays if it is missed. Confirm whether your quoted rate sits on committed capacity or best-effort. See power infrastructure.
Connectivity
Carrier count, whether the facility is carrier-neutral, cross-connect pricing and available dark fiber. Training clusters that span cages need low-latency east-west capacity inside the building, which is a different question from carrier diversity to the outside world. See AI cluster networking.
Contract shape
Term, escalators, power pass-through versus fixed, expansion rights on adjacent space and exit terms. On any deployment you expect to grow, expansion rights matter more than the headline price.
Frequently asked questions
Does SLYD Solutions own data centers?
No. SLYD Solutions is not a data center operator. We source and place capacity with third-party facilities and represent the customer through the search and the negotiation.
Which data centers does SLYD Solutions work with?
We maintain direct relationships with operators across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, extended further through our technology services distributor channel. We do not publish the list because requirements and pricing are commercially sensitive. Tell us what you need and we will bring options.
Can SLYD supply the hardware and the colocation together?
Yes, and that is the common case. We source the equipment, arrange financing through third-party lenders where required, and place the deployment, sequenced so space, hardware and funding land together.
What size deployments does SLYD handle?
From a single high-density cabinet through multi-megawatt suites. Smaller requirements are usually faster to place. Multi-MW requirements take longer and benefit from early engagement.
Can SLYD support liquid-cooled deployments?
Yes. Facility qualification runs against the actual thermal profile of your hardware rather than a generic density figure.
Tell us what you need.
Power envelope, density, region, timeline. That is enough to start. We will come back with facilities that can genuinely take the deployment.
